hi fella's went to ladies the house to pick this tv up, got it back to the bench,  red standby light wasn't doing any thing, back off  17pw26-4  chassis, just the 1 bulged cap 2700 16v changed it but i thought i better changed the rest tv up and running but there's 3 thin black lines going horizontal across the screen, now i've  asked the lady weren't there before, it hasn't been bump anyone else had this fault before thanks for your time

Could be the cable that connects the main board to the Tcon board, maybe a waggle or pressing may instigate or show the fault.... could also be the screen itself,  you could try pressing hard round the outer edges of the front panel, this may show the fault too.

There was an issue with the connections to the actual screen panel with some makes, if this is the case then packing the cable that connects to the screen with foam rubber, other than that it's a new screen panel.

hi davy ,i'm thinking  it's a screen fault, just that the woman went a away just her fella and kids left in the house.  it was broke when she got back, but she said the lines weren't there before i repaired, it was stuck in standby just the 1 swollen cap, i esr'd the  others some werer low so i changed them, didn't want her thinking i've caused the lines, i only repair the fault that they tell me about, if spot an other fault, i  let them know straight away thanks ps she was happy with repair the lines are still in but it doesn't effect the picture thanks again
