Hi folks,
Just got a Sanyo LCE19LD40DV-B in from a caravanner where the DVD doesn't work. To Ebay where there are quite a few new ones about but problem comes with the secondary number - Mine is
190110301 - Wonder if it's significant as they all look much the same - Chris.

Hi Chris,
The important part is the M-PEG board mounted on the DVD loader. Could possibly use the original board from the old loader, but it may be at fault, and the connectors vary from unit to unit. An option is to supply a external DVD player connected to AV-IN. Bruce

Thanks Bruce,
Although many CD players can be sorted with a cleaned lens - seems slot-in dvds' never can.
Cleaned dozens, and it never ever works, even though they're designed to admit vertically rising crap filled air, either side of the lens, rather than the sealed ones used in computers that hardly ever go wrong.
As computer DVD rewriters are now really cheap, makes you wonder about the cost of the slot-in playback only rubbish fitted to current sets - Chris.

Hi Chris,
Never a truer word, they don't come any crappier. Bruce
