Title: green on rgb but not s-vid
Post by: wayward91 on July 04, 2008,13:53:45
hello all,
I have a Sony kv32 fx66u crt tv,(2nd hand) bother the rear rgb scarts display green but the same socket when used with an s-video signal is fine, also the tv tuner displays a normal picture.
The internal boards look fine with no obvious faults on. however the vertical logic/processing board looks newer than the rest of the tv.
I am thinking that is hasnt been re-calibrated correctly/not at all when  (if) it was replaced.
is there any suggestions on what to do next, i have tried entering the service mode with no success.  :loool:
the setup i use works fine on other tv's so its not a faulty source/cable.

Im not expecting one but if anybody has a service manual for this tv it would be greatly appreciated.

cheers all :-)

Hi,
What are you feeding into the set?
i.e make and model
I have had this symptom before when cheap DVD players are being used,
if this is the case then try feeding in a decent quality RGB signal from a good quality DVD player ie sony. Also you could try altering the output from the DVD player you are using from RGB to Composite Video if it has that facility
