Title: Thomson LCD 32LB130S5 IFC 130 chassis
Post by: straitsex on July 24, 2008,09:42:16
I have a Tomson LCD TV INTUIVA
type 32LB130S5 with a IFC130 EN chassis
It will not startup, the red and green led's and the remote seems
OK...12v, 24v, 5v and 3v are OK on the power boards.
I suspect that the mainboard (scaler)   21474990    or       the AV board EFCO301E are
faulty but can not tell with available test equipment?
Does anyone know who supplies these PCB's? There is no Thomson support here in Spain and local repairers are not able to get parts
Your help is much appreciated.
I am so reluctant to bin it when it is only 18months old.

Thanks Mulja for your suggestion....yes I would agree but the 12v 24v and 5v standby are present on the mother board and seem to function correctly..... but no startup!

Its the lack of spares and support that drives me mad with this......I have found one shop with spares but is selling the motherboard for £225.....I can buy a new TV for £300 (different make)! if I do I have spent £1,300 for 18 months of viewing!

The attitude seems to be tough sh*t don't bother us and go buy another.

Being of the old school I can not bring myself to bin something which should be repaired.

silly I guess!
