Title: LG RZ-42PX11
Post by: markc on September 06, 2008,06:55:13
HI,
could anyone help with a problem with this set?
A few months ago the ZSUS panel failed & was replaced.
Now the YSUS panel has failed and has been replaced, but the picture is very poor and there is patterning on the screen.

Is there a service menu & if so how do you access it.

Thanks

hi there, is the patterning like sparklies on the picture.??

if so the v up and v down need adjusting on the y sus board...

let the set warm up for roughly 30 mins then adjust as nescesry.....i found that i couldnt totaly get rid of them when the set was cold, so as the set warmed up they would disapear....lg said it wasnt a fault with the set just an ageing pdp pannel....

Thanks for the reply. The adjustment has cured the sparklies, but I still have the patterning. This is in narrow vertical bands travelling from left to right across the screen. Only present on tv signals, not av inputs.

the v up and v down  adjustiments on the y sus board cured the sparklies.
The patterning was down to the aerial system. This set appears to be particularly sensitive to this.

At the bottom of the panel is earthing tape, bronze coloured. Make sure it's in tact, if not replace it.
