hi all
ive got a problem with my tv and i hope you can help me.the original fault was the mdfs03 scan module bar code effect i reflowed the pins on the main chip and now the picture is ok except for faint diagonal scan lines in the picture. could this problem be still due to the module or is it something else?
many thanks

Hi,
Those modules are the cause of most faults on these sets and I always fit a new module for long term reliabilty.
Are the lines across the entire picture? if yes, then try adjusting the Grid 2 supply in case its too high.
If the lines are just on the left hand side then replace R441 560R 2W.
If not then it probably is a faulty module

hi
thanks brainstorm for your reply. The lines run across the whole screen and are flickering they are faint and are more noticeable when there is a coloured background ie blue red.i tried adjusting grid 2 but that made no difference.the lines look like poor signal or interference and they are still present when playing a dvd through scart or s video.i shall try to get a new module and see if that does the trick.
thanks

Hi Techno, these modules were available from Toshiba free. Call customer services 01276 694000 and explain problem, have model and serial number to hand. They may have stopped this now but is worth the price of a phone call to find out. Cheers Norman
