Title: TEVION 42" LCD LCD4203ID - NO PICTURE

Hi All,
Could anyone offer some advice.  I have a 42" Tevion LCD4203ID with no picture.  Switch it on screen backlight comes on, sound works but no picture.

Any ideas?

Hi, anyone got any idea's?  I have now 3x tevion 42" 2x technika 26" and 1 x technosonic 32" all with the same problems.  All will not come out of standby.  If you remove the connection on the mainboard from either the button panel or IR board the tv will come out of standby and be okay, but if you switch off the tv and leave it for a while it's back to being stuck in standby.
Most of the caps have been replaced on the mainboard and still no diff. 
I have one other mainboard ( as previous message) that comes out of standby everytime but won't display a picture.

I really am totally at the end.  Any advice would be a help.
All of the tv's are from the Siemssen factory DY51LW.  I am willing to send them away for repair if req.

out of interest have you tried changing the EEPROMS? sounds like the vestel problem, i would supect and look around the controller IC area... if its SDA5550 - its probably that.  but i am no expert!!  my fault finding consists of switching and feeling around for VERY hot IC, TR's etc...  :lol: well it worked for my Tosh!!!

Hi Tony, the model of the 32" is 3201ts?
I have now fixed about 4 of the mainboards out of about 6.
A couple of caps are badly soldered onto the mainboard (the caps have to connect to the underside of the board as well as the top).  Also to allow for different lcd panels there are links to change to match with the screen type.

hello, is your tevion the one with the lg screen, and fitted with 4 inverters, we scrap the tevs for their screens and put them in lg sets, they fetch more money, the invertors give problems check each fuse in turn, one on each inv. you may have a fet died on you, do you have 24v to invertors?
