Post by: theo laird on November 30, 2008,14:13:15
Any known faults with the Power/Inverter board. Lien Chang AIVP-0015 manufacture.

Symtom: Powers on ok, pic seen for a second and go's.

Ckt. Diagram would be handy.

Still looking for CKT. But I believe the power/inv board is OK. During measuring inverter volts I did get half a display when the inverter started oscillating when I loaded the connection with test meter then switched on. On removing meter lead the board went to standby.  I have come to the conclusion it is a ccfl tube fault. My next move is to connect a tube externaly to the board when I get in the mood again, and find out if I am right.

Yep, it was a lamp fault on this one.
I haven't got a circuit but did find a datasheet for the driver chip. Pin 15 was going below 1.3v which puts it into open load protection shutdown. One of the 4 tubes had a blackened end and was giving a pink-ish light.
