Title: Hitachi 42PD6600 SMPS

Hi does anyone know the part number for the SMPS for a Hitachi 42PD6600 TV.  My tv wont power on at all, I have replaced the ceramic fuse on the SMPS but still no luck.  Ive tested the SMPS and there is no power between it and the main power PCB so I presume it’s the SMPS that is faulty.  If anyone can give me the part number or better still the part number and a link to a site where to buy the replacement i will be a very happy chappy!

Hi Curt, the power supply is available from Charles Hyde And Son, it costs £209 +vat. At this price you may want to persist trying to repair your own one. Cheers Norman

Jesus that is a bit pricey for that part.  I may be asking for the wrong part though as its not the main power board it is the transformer board.  If it is indeed the correct part then im gonna have to see if i can pick up a faulty screen off ebay which still powers up.

been reading your post with interest, i wondered if you meant the main pcb psu or the sub psu, all the sub one does is provide 5v and the relay which fires the main psu, ysus zsus and others, we do the matsui version of same plasma. we also do a repair service on these. just check if the stby 5 v is present or not, they do fail a lot, but dont go buying full set, ill repair if you wish, thereare two versions, one also supplies feed for audio chip, the later one didnt, either way we can sort u out

Bit old this one, but if you still need one, then I have one. a PSU that is.
