Tv picture was intermmittent, changed the control board(lvds) now the picture is great. But now I have a red line going down the left side of the screen.  The line will go away somtimes but will always come back sometimes half inch to an inch wide. It tends to go away after tv has been on for a while but now its staying longer.

Check cable from x-bus drive to screen try pull it out and clean also check small resistor and capasitors for dry joint on the cable  if this will not help then sceen faulty

The fault is the Control PCB you have fitted, it is a common fault on all 42X2 and 42X2A PDP Modules, which is what is in your TV.

Another Control PCB is required, but a good one.
