Hi does anyone know where I can get a transformer for a Technosonic lcd1908 ,there are markings on it as follows (MSC) ZY-T0045. The one fitted starts to make a noise after about half an hour or even another PCB for this model.
-
its not the transformer rattling its the cap in the snubber network, change from ceramic to a mylar type, i will cure it.

Thanks again Tony but can you tell me what board location ref is for this cap.
-
hello,
we dont have any in at the moment but its the one on the primary side of the psu, its a small blue disk type ceramic, change it to a mylar and you will be ok

Hi, changed the cap with a mylar and about an hour later still getting the noise from transformer.
-
odd. we bought about 500 of these from seimsenn, ill post you a transformer if you wish
-
That would be great could you send email with details for me to send payment.
there is a noise comes from the transformer for a few seconds when its switched on at first then no noise for about an hour.
Thanks Alan.

Hi again just run this set with the back cover off and over a period of two and a half hours no noise at all
put the cover back on and after ten minutes the noise is back again.
-
try spacing the two inductors apart at the top of the panel, we have known this to cause ringing as well, in severe cases we have had to put one on the print side of the pcb, well crack it,

Hi again tried separating the two inductors and its just the same cover on noise with in the hour and cover off no noise at all beginning to think along the lines of the transformer getting to hot or just faulty.
-
right transformer on its way, pm me your addy, cheers ,
