Title: Samsung LE32R51BD 32" LCD TV Vertical Line Fault
Post by: GaryTheGolfer on April 20, 2009,13:02:01
Hello all,

Firstly: My aplogies, I posted this originally in the TV forum instead of the LCD TV forum.

I have a fault with a Samsung LE32R51BD 32" LCD TV. There is a permanent (1/4" wide) line running vertically from top to bottom of the screen. It is about 8" in from the right hand edge.

It is there with all inputs.

Has anybody had this problem and more importantly has anyone resloved the problem.....without buying a new LCD panel?

Thanks in Advance
Gary   :wallbash:

Thanks for the pdf info. The flow diagrams don't really help with the particular problem I have but thank you. You never know when that info will come in useful.

I see that those flow diagrams all seem to end with....in all else fails, replace the LCD panel. This is the very thing I'm trying to avoid for the very obvious cost reason.

Has anyone cured this vertical line fault on this or a similar Samsung? eg panel T-bar connector rather than panel itself.

Thanks

hi
might be worth checking the ribbon connections from the screen driver to the panel.
