One possible cause may be dry joints on the invertor transformers best resolder them all.

hello, if the set reverts to standby fit the psu reliability kit before it self destructs, it cures most psu problems

Hello,
I've seen this 'reliability kit' mentioned in posts. What does it consist of,
and where can it be obtained,
Thanks.

a few weeks ago i talked scousethief through the procedure, he had concerns about doing it, in fact he posted a thankyou on here to mulja and myself.
the caps, electrolytics, are tied up with the 5v line, two other caps are in the primary of the main psu, there is also a 3 pin ic fitted, we use them a lot and obtain them locally, usually chs but try giving the smaller traders a chance, i recommend ohm supplies, and theyrre cheap

just tell them the number on the psu and they will sort you
