Title: How to get a signal out of a tv with built in recorder ?
Post by: fredblip on June 30, 2009,14:54:06
I have an LG 42PC1RR , which has  a built in hard drive.

I would like to transfer to dvd some of the programs I have recorded.

I have tried with a scart lead but when I play a recorded program I do not seam to get a signal at the scart sockets (1 or 2).

I have looked through the instructions but can find no mention of how or if it can be done.

Has anyone any ideas ? .........please .

This probably won't help you, but just in case it is the answer, I suppose you know that some scart leads have only some of the pins connected - some are good for only inputting and some are good for only taking signals out. Others do both. Might just be worth a check.
Cheers.

Thanks, TM , I tried all combinations with different scart leads ...no luck.

I even tried writing to LG  they sent me a phone number to ring but I was not able to get through to them.

hello, i assume this is non-uk, here we have the pt and lt  range of sets with hard drive, they were afflicted with locking up problems, recently new software was made available, used with a prog only available from lg, i have compiled a disk with this on, it is done via the 232 port on the back of the tv, but back to recording material from the hard drive, in our pt and lt sets cant be done, which chassis is it?
