Title: PSU repair for Maxim 1154 / BUSH IDLCD27TV006 GOODMANS IDLCD27TV006 / INO3
Post by: pacmyc on July 23, 2009,05:06:03
I've got a LCD TV, from another manufacturer but the PSU is the same as in the TV´s listed in the subject.
Well, main fuse once blow, TV went dead, and when replacing the fuse it just blows again and again.

After som looking around on the internet i replaced the FSD200 as well as a lot of other components such as capacitors and some zener diods and transistors;
IC21, D325, D326, Q300, Q301, Q302, D315, D318, C322, C356, C213, C330, F300

I´ve now got the TV running, but, it´s a hell to turn it on. I have to turn on/off the main power switch for a few times and than it comes on, but 4 times out of 5 with no sound, or with some kind of strange disorted noise.
If I now leave the TV on for 10 minutes without the sound, and then turn it off (with remote) and turn it on again, the sound normally works...

It´s so strange that the TV sometimes works and sometimes not.
There´s  no bad contact or anything on the psu, i´ve checked it very carefully.

Could it be the opto IC37 ?? I have ordered it,,
or do you have any other suggestions what else could cause this strange fault?

Or might it be the IC30 (ICE1QS01) ?

I would be greatly thankful for any tips or ideas you could provide me,

There's nothting written on the psu board, except for "LCD TV POWER SUPPLY", and Profilo Telra.

I could also add the following info:

Almost all of the electrolyt caps are replaced.
I have checked all soldering on the PSU.

I have been measuring the 5 volt line, pin 4 on S300 (5V Main). (I think the problem is here somewhere)
When TV is in s-by it measures 0,35 V (to main chassis), when turning the TV on it goes up to 5 V, than drops down to 3,5 V and waits there for a few moments, jumps up to 4 V, and; if the TV is powering up as it should the picture comes on and the voltage jumps up and stayes around 4,8 - 4,9 V.
If the case is that the TV doesn´t power up, it will just stay around 3,5 V - 4,5 V and nothing more will happen. The voltage continue to pend a little bit. The screen might also light up and then go back to s-by at 4,5 V.

And also, 9 times out of 10 there will be no sound at all, or a terrible noise from the speakers. 1 time out of ten the sound is great..

Anyone know what to do about this? I would be greatly thankful.

this set uses the fsd200 5v reg ic, and the feedback opto plays up, we always change it as a matter of course,

Had bad caps in one of the kits for these once, bounced on me after 2 weeks and c330 had blown up like a balloon.I'd be tempted to replace c330 again and the 1000uf that's right next to it,cant remember the circ ref now.

Thats not the case here..
ALL caps are replaced. I friend told me to try manually turn on the PSU by applying 5 V on the standby line (from another power supply).. When messing around with it trying something happened to the TV, and now when turned on I get only some text in turkish (I think it says "no signal") and no menu button works anymore. I can only change channel and volume. Maybe I erased some flash program on the motherboard while messing around with the PSU..? My suspicions goes to the motherboard. All caps there (they are all small ones) looks to be OK.

Is there any kind of service menu on these TV's?

Hi folks,

Have had similar trouble with C330 (1000/16) - note in the PS shematic that C948 (1000/16) is shown but not fitted.  Tend now to use a 2200/16 as replacement.
