Title: JVC AV32T25EKS JL Chassis - Field fault
Post by: Turnip on August 05, 2009,08:57:06
Hi Folks,

Have one of these where after being initially near OK, Field height expands considerably with large black bar at top. Fault isn't heat, cooling or vibration sensitive.

   Any thoughts - Chris.

Hi Chris
Had a similar frame fault with a JVC AV-28R370 (JL2 Chassis). Started with top half of scan and gradually increased to around three-quarter scan. After a long battle replacing just about everything in the V out stage, I traced the V drive back and found it was supplied via a smd IC whose function is to shape the V drive waveform. This IC was faulty. Circuit ref IC 501 type AN5441 SA-W. Obtained a replacement from CHS. Might be worth a swop if your chassis uses this IC.

Regards
John.

Thanks, John.

Would have initially changed the FO/P, but didn't have any, so thought to try Quuq. Now, off to Wiltsgrove for a replacement. Have just checked shematic and found no IC501, so will initially go for the Fo/p

Thanks - Chris, will be back if it doesn't do the biz.
