Title: sky lcd-20 backlight

backlight goes out after a second , power supply ORIP-21A , i think the problem is ic u5 4501M 447192 , s from urface mount 8 pin dual in line does anyone know where i can get this part from or anyone who can repair this power supply for me?

Think your IC is a AP4501M which is a dual N and P power mosfet in a single smd package. Datasheets are available on line but cant find a UK supplier. Check out the pin connections on the sheet. Expect this type of device would be short circuit if faulty. Hope the info is of help.
