HI FOLKS,I've got another problem, this time with a Baier LCD27SL. Customer said it used to suffer from poor starting out of standby. If it was left unplugged overnight he had to switch it on and off for ages to start it up.
Now it's dead. I have replaced 4 swollen 1000uf's on 2ndary side and all electrolytics in the primary side.
There are voltages about primary area, but very difficult to get at and no s/c is present.
Anybody any ideas ? tv john.

Hi guys, I've fixed it! It turned out to be C8 a 47/35v cap hidden under a heatsink in the power pcb.

Hi Tv John,
Is your Tv a Baier or a Bauer, as I dont have the first listed and am curious - Chris.

HI TURNIP. it's a BAIER and the customer's son bought it from ASDA.
Lable on the back says it was produced for Asda stores,Leeds LS11.
