Title: FUJITSU PLASMA----FAULTY FAN
Post by: tv john on August 24, 2009,14:50:38
Hi guys,I have a Fujitsu PDS 5002E-S  50" plasma with a faulty fan. This is where the frustration begins, because this plasma has 4 fans and the set cuts off [showing 'condition 1 ' first]. Now the 4 fans have seperate plugs,so it's easy to detect which is faulty. If I discon. the plug it still cuts out.
I don't know who makes this plasma, but some edge connectors are marked-TNPA191A.

Can anybody help ?      thanks   tv john

hello, its not getting the reference pulse from the faulty motor, i take it they are 3 wire motors, 1 is neg, 1 5v, the other when the fan is running should be about 4v, thats if they are 3 wire, good luck

Thanks for the replyTony, yes it has 3 wires per fan. I was thinking that if I linked the faulty motor cons. in parallel with a good one ,then sensor might get required pulses(back to vcr days).
Plasma is in cust. house.  Any thougts about this Tony ? Does anybody know if one can be found in the UK ?

Hi Tony,The customer stays 25miles away, so a photo is out. The fan is about 4 inch square, about 1 inch deep and has the following info on it -12v 0.14amp,NIDER,BETA SL. model D09A 12PH 03B and may have no's MC 127W 27M (can't remember where I got this no from).
The fans are held in ln place by a spring clips and the 4 sit across the top of the plasma.
It would be great if you could supply one.

Thanks ,John.

Rectified the fault by cutting all 3 leads from the dud motor and linking them from the panel to a set of working motor leads. The rotation pulses are being detected now by the missing  motor circuit.

The customer had this fault under guarantee and would still like to obtain any fans if possible.

Can you supply any used ones  tv tony.

Thanks John.
