Title: Bush LCD27TV006HD - Sound.
Post by: Turnip on September 09, 2009,13:20:41
Hi Folks,

Have a Bush LCD27TV006A where sound consists of just a buzz. Checked through Install menu, where there are just two regional options, neither giving more that a buzz.

Noticed that the EEPROM, an 8 pin in a holder, has been replaced, rather on the skew by previous repairers and might be the problem.

   Any thoughts - Chris.

Hi and thanks Sparky,

Tried all three Scarts, found them identical. Sound present but with fairly loud buzz that goes up and down with volume control. Similar buzz with off-air, but of course, no audio at all - curious.

   Thanks again - Chris.

Hi Tony,

Had a look at the main board, prodded it as it was mikey. Discovered some rather messy component replacements, bottom RH side, (Suspect the Weller man had been there) tidied it up a bit and sound returned on off air analogue, but with the buzz still evident.

So it's not s/w, but a new panel situation, so on to the heap for spares.

   Thanks again - Chris.

Hi and thanks Tony,

Working in the wilds of Norfolk, most of my customers have either short pockets or country estates, and all groan at more than a fiver for a Tv repair, so that when I suggested small change from a tenner, he grabbed it and ran.

Sure, city folks have it easy. Thought to attach pic of main board for interest, with mangled area outlined.

   Thanks again Tony - Chris.
