Title: samsung ps-50q96hd

this set has a power supply fault (bn44-00162a)
the relays click in and out repeatedly (even with the other pcbs disconected) and once in a while the set will start for a few seconds,psu seems to be thermaly sensitive but carnt track down the fault.
any help would be great,before i buy a new psu.

Hi Daz, I had a PS50Q97 recently with the same symptoms, it was dry joints on two transistors in the middle of the psu panel bolted to a heatsink. I know this is a different model but is worth a look. Cheers, Norman

thanks norman,
ive had that fault several times myself and hoped it was the fault with this one,but ended up having to replace the psu.
