Title: PANASONIC TH-42PV500B
Post by: JAYROD on September 20, 2009,17:45:01
Hi, anybody familiar with the panasonic TH-42PV500B.
The tv powers up with the screen very dimly illuminated but no pic or sound.
Now and again it will work normally and will continue to work if left on.
The fault does not appear to be temperature related. Red led flashes continuously when faulty.

Any help appreciated, cheers phil.

Hi, Phil,
You will need to count the blinks when its in fault and this will give you an indication of where the fault lies.

Hi brian, thanks for your offer of assistance, only noticed your post today.
This is a bit of a strange one,the red LED just flashes continuously very fast at a rate of about 4 flashes a second with no pauses. The tv will very occasionaly come on straight away and will continue to work normaly as long as it is left on. A service manual would be of help to me brian if you have one or if anybody on the fourum has one.

    Thanks, phil.
