I have an hitachi 32in 32ld8d20u, it has perfect sound but no picture, when you start the tv up the screen will light up then go dark, i have shined a torch into screen but not even any faint picture.
Was told that it would need a new inverter board which i have changed but still the same problem.
Anyone got any ideas as i would really like to get this fixed asap.

pin11 to 14 24v
if voltage present then 2 posible faults inverter board faulty
or on of bulbs in the screen shorting
but you shore what no back light becouse very common fault is on lcd controler board
no picture with back light present.

Hi,
Had a look at Hitachi,s tech. site and the only cure listed,is to remove the glue, from the LVDS cable clean the contacts and replace the LVDS cable, may be worth investigating?
good luck.

well there is a sizzling from one of the transformers on the inverter board so maybe this is the problem, only just found it so going to maybe try and change the transformer as i have a spare? does this sound likely cause at all?
-
i thought you have changed the inverter board
is it the correct board
-
i got a board from ebay changed it but it wouldn't even show a backlight on startup where as the old one still does just a sizzling from transformer, so i've more than likely got a dud board,
-
try and find the faulty one try unsoldering it then transfer
one from the other panel you got from ebay
or use meter to measure the reading of the transformer to find faulty one
sparky

Hi Folks,
Had a fractured core on largish monitor that knocked out the drive - superglue did it for me. Wouldn't help much with a short though, I suspect.
