Title: Hitachi 42PMA400A Plasma
Post by: Typhoontimmy on October 04, 2009,05:55:37
Hi there
I have a Hitachi 42PMA400A Plasma and it has a power up problem. when you turn it on the realy clicks and the light on the front goes from red to green and it displays the picture for a split second and it goes away and about 5 seconds later the light goes back to red and the relay clicks.

People have told me "just replce two Caps in the YSUS board and this will fix the problem but i have replaced a total of 12 Caps in the board already and it's still doing the same thing.

plz help

 Hi,
I'm not too familiar with the 400A but an earlier model 350??? :dubbio: (memory not too good) had a similar fault and it turned out to be the 5v standby circuit at fault. Could yours be the same?
Regards,
PMZ.

Hello,
 Had a different model,type 42PMA500 and not sure if same/similar p.s.
as yours, but check diode D114 for short, and dry joints on IC202. As I say might be worth a look!
  Cheers
Bri.

Also i have and lg 42pxp... and the screen works fine but once it heats up it flickers on and off like there is a dry joint somewhere.  Is this correct or do i have to replace a board to fix the problem. Cheers

Hi,
From memory!! the diode D114 is a ERA91-02 type and was on the power supply
It had gone short.
