Title: Philips LC4.3E Power panel PLCD170P2
Post by: Turnip on October 09, 2009,07:44:48
Hi Folks,

Have a 26PF5520 that came in with mains fuse blown. Did cold checks and all seemed well so replaced 3.15A and plugged in with series lamp. There were clicking noises with the lamp flashing but no obvious signs of a short. Eventually the clicking stopped with HT still present but no secondary voltages.

   Any thoughts ? - Chris.

Hi Willyam and Super8,

As power supply is common to several chassis, I had a spare or two, and the set worked. Fault is curious however as a blackened 3.15A fuse usually means cremation somewhere, especially Philips with all those little blue ceramics - not a sign though, will have to check input components with a Megger.

   Thanks again - Chris.

Had one in - March 2015 where it didn't fire up to S/by. Folks on line suggested replacing - C130(100/25)
C236(22/50) C526(22/50) and C505(22/50) - Did the job.
