Hi Folks,
Have one of these where the FSD200 has done it's usual pop. Looks straight forward enough, but haven't seen this PS B4 - looks better than those former ones with drooling caps.
Anyone done one ? also any thoughts about fitting a safety resistor in the HT to S/by feed - bad for business perhaps.
Chris.

hello again, after fitting these devices i always put a 4.7 zener across the primary side of the opto, it seems to make them last longer, but they do seem to pop for no valid reason

Hi, and thanks Tony,
Glad to note you're somewhat recovered and are back with us - all seemed rather too quiet, the last few weeks, couldn't really argue with anyone, Quuq folks are all so nice to a dribbly pensioner, but what about that posited series fuseable resistor ?
Chris.
PS - Checked out 'Ohm supplies' list and replaced items suggested. Link J300 being the HT feed was replaced with an 800m/a - all seems well.

Hi ST1,
No PSU to main - lead (It's not a ribbon) but need a PSU to revive an 'orrible 32 inch Grundig where cust has to squeeze the screen either side to get rid of thin vertical lines - he's quite cool about it.
Pic flickers initially and replacing dual LG/Phil inverters doesn't quite do the biz - suspect PS - have changed usual drooling caps but still feel it's a P/S prob.
Just a thought - Chris.
