Anyone any ideas on this one?
When powered up from cold, a strange noise, not dissimilar to a detuned FM signal, comes through the speakers. Pressing mute has no effect. This fades after 10 seconds or so and the set will then run normally, except the digital tuner will not receive any signals.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
a bit of a strange fault this one, but i think the clue is that you have no digital.
I would try a software reset first (Hold down -/v on the tv and i button on the remote at the
same time and you should see "self check" displayed on the screen with a rows of ok's, then
switch off at mains and back on again, set should start retuning , with a bit of luck it might be working again
If not I would see if your other inputs are working,HDMI Scart etc, also take a feed out of the scart and see if you can view the picture on another set. Check all your supply rails, but you may have a faulty DG board.

Thanks Brian.
Had already tried a 'hard' reset but to no avail.
Noticed that when cold and the digital auto scan is started, there's a pulsing noise through the speakers too, in sync with each tuning step. The noise clears within 20 seconds or so and doesn't return until started from cold again.
Had some time with it today and noticed that applying heat to the digital 'DG' board allows the digital channels to return. Also, when this board is hot, the noise isn't present from an otherwise cold state. All pointing to the 'DG' board.
Bugger.

The part number of the DG board in this set is TNPA4114.
Found one at flattvparts.co.uk at £64.99 Has anyone used them for parts before?
