Hi Guy's got one of the above with a duff p.s.u. most of the secondary caps u/s.replaced the caps & fitted a p.s.u. repair kit41 from c.h.s. ltd.which usually sorts them out.but this time I've got an extra resistor gone up which I can't read the value. It's marked r65 surface mount.Has anybody got a service manual or any idea of it's value.p.c.b. type fsp228-3f01.

Hi Maff
Spent some time rebuilding a similar psu in a Swisstec LCD tv. Have a look in the Faults Database section and select the category `other makes`, then open the `jump to category` bit at the bottom of the screen to find the Swisstec entries. Sounds quite similar to your problems although the board number is slightly different. R65 was a sm 5.1 ohm feed resistor for a sm regulator transistor that was s/c. Full details in the fault section. Hope it helps.
Regards
John.
