Hi Sparky
12.5 amps seems a lot for a 27 inch tv and may be just an idle boast on the label of the power pack. Might be worth rigging the set up to a beefy 12volt supply (car battery) and measuring the current to see if you could get away with a psu with a lower rating.
Just a thought
John.

hi
tried 12v-7a tv powers up all ok 30 mins later
psu runs very hot , will not work with car battery
got to be a regulated supply

Car battery will be fine, as long as the engine is not running and it is not on charge. Then it will be a very stable 12V source.

hi
fitted fuse in + supply just in case connected correct way to battery
no joy tried lower rated psu to check if any damaged caused by
above. Still works on lower rated psu

Slightly off topic, but do you have a service manual for your Logic tv? I have a logic 30" tv and can't find a manual or any service data anywhere, either free or paid for.
