Title: Goodmans GTV42P4 - Power
Post by: Turnip on January 29, 2010,05:06:37
Hi Folks,

Have a Goodmans GTV42P4 with a power supply problem. Have a note that some used the infamous FSD200, mine however has a Li Shin GDP-002 with a blown mains fuse and no FSD200.

Any thoughts ? Chris.

A certain subscibed european site lists 24 solutions (too many to list). Start with q204/4,r103
& r108. If led 8003 is lit , replace d116 on standby pcb.

Hi John,

Thanks for your help, was told by cust that set went pop, so foolishly headed straight for power supplies without checking the screen - well it was face down on the bench. After replacing both P/S to no effect thought to look for a picture. Found one, rather washed out and snowy. Checked fuses discovering FS1 (4A T) on Z-Sus O/C. Replaced fuse and was rewarded with sparks from under the central heat sink.

Replaced Z-Sus - OK  Many cheers for local council tips, long may they recycle.

Hi Spiceylad - Haven't the RCU myself, but mine comes on when plugged in.

Thanks all - Chris
