I picked up an RCA D52W14 for free.
It was dead. Just a blinking power light when you turned it on.
Did some research & found a few buldging capacitors on the power board & replaced those.
Now it powers up just fine.
But when there is random blue blothes & streaks in the picture.
Also I can see a blue halo & whites sometimes cause ghosts.
Otherwise the picture is decent.
Any ideas?
Thank you.

Hi Widget,
Is the set tubed ?
Chris.

yes.
Here are some pics of the problem.
I've been told the blue focus is off but not sure how to adjust it.

Ok. got into the test menu & pulled up the convergence grids & the blue is WAY out of whack.
No focus at all.
Barely hitting the screen and that is just a blur.
Grid is focused on mirror but warped & I see "stuff" on the blue tube.
I'm thinking the coolant needs replacing?

Hi,
No expert myself, but suspect all coolants might be in the same condition - expect some expert to put us to rights - well with Quuq there's always some expert about.
Not on commission, sadly - Chris.
