Hello Group,
This set will not come out of standby.
The blue standby led stays lit.
I have replaced the power supply board with a known working one and have isolated the fault to the signals/micro board.
The board is a Vestel 17MB24H-2.
I have tryed another eprom and checked the s/m fuses.
Has anyone had this fault or successfully repaired one.
Best regards Ian Harrison (Sound and Vision)

Hi Ian,
Had the same fault on a similar AS tv, turned out to be D101 short on the lvds pcb holding the set in standby,

Hi Daz,
Thanks for the input.
I have bought a s/h 17mb24h-2 board from Ebay and have got the set running, but have another fault.
It produces a picture for a few seconds and then breaks up into vertical lines. It looks like the problem you get with the lvds lead from the main board. The customer said it was ok before it went off. I think I have replaced one faulty board with another, but have no way to check it with out buying another one.
Looking forward to a better time this week.
Regards Ian.

Hi Ian
Check regs on main pcb and lvds pcb are kicking out correct voltages, possible you’ve bought a duff pcb but sounds likes the screen is duff, try twisting it, see if pic comes back.
And you should know better than believing what customers say,
Good luck

Hi Group,
I have replaced the board again and found the one from Ebay was faulty.
It has a free 30 day returns policy, so I will return it.
Thanks for the help.
