Hi all my mate has one of the vistron 42" lctv with a samsung screen, he is reporting that when turned on from cold he has a faded area top to bottom on the right of the screen, if he changes input the faded area then leaves an image of the previous channel.
after 5mins or so everthing goes ok and the tv performs normally, I suspect a problem with the invertor, with dry joints, has anyone had a simular problem with other sets or can anyone give me any tips as where to start. as in my previous post I had a problem with the power supply and a 32" model but the symtoms arnt the same so I dont think its the caps on the power supply. cheers all

Hi,
Without model it's difficult to say but screen drive/LVDS panel is usually the culprit.
Best of luck - Chris.
