Title: LG 50PC1DA-EC RCU probs

Hi folks,

Have one of these where RCU functions became iffy then no response at all. checked and found all buttons transmitting, got a RM4080 from Wiltsgrove which doesn't control set either. Set buttons work normally.

Checked around and found no history of this problem - any thoughts - Chris.

check.
sig out from remot reciver(elec eye) when remot is opereted.
if ok check whith scop the 5v 3.3  1.8 2.5 you will find a ripple change ecapi small or voltage reg.
 you can add 1000uf to the bad reg it will be ok

Heard from customer that if set was left on for an hour or two, both RCUs would then function. Guess I'm looking for that reg fault you mentioned.

Thanks Willyam1,

Removed some hundreds of screws to reveal a couple of signal panels, audio one had no noticeable regs, other one had several. Gave up when eyes crossed. Perhaps next time when I have screen smash panels from the local tip to do a panel swap, and/or shematic, will give it a serious try.

Well, owner (Young Norfolk Farmer) didn't want to spend any real cash - they never do.
