Hi,
Looks like a PLCD 190 C1 - Have no reported probs, Quuq chaps to remedy, hopefully, perhaps - Chris.
-
I cannot find any reason why this tv will not switch on I have checked all the power sources an they seem to be fine
-
check caps c537 and c100. value for both are 100n k630.
-
Did you fix this ?
I would appear to have exactly the same fault. plug in - led briefly flashes green then goes red.
remote input seems to not work, but can't really prove that.
push power button on set, red led goes off but does not turn to green.
I've checked voltages all over the set and everything seems fine - and i checked the caps the last poster mentioned, both within tolerance.
anyone with any ideas appreciated.
(yes the psu board is a PLCD 190 C1 and all seems well there. i've measured all diodes and caps and switching devices)

hi
try c130

hi,
direct change all 100/25 or 50v.
-
got a photo of it please..
-
hi
photo of what?
dave
-
the photo higher up the thread is the same as mine.
i don't believe it to be the psu board, as i said i have scoped all the supplies & they look good. i have scoped all the 'little' supplies generated by the SSB and Zapper boards and they also appear good. the closest i can find to something wrong is the top left corner of an a to d chip in the middle of the ssb board gets up to about 45 deg C (ish) when the rest of the board is a fairly uniform just above ambient (measured with contactless IR temp sensor)

hot wired backlight and got it to fire up. no picture, not even menu.
shorted service-mode jumbers. nothing. no led flash codes, no picture
I think that = main video board is duff, though i'll be stuffed if i can find exactly which bit has gone

hi make sure panel knows what make of screen used ie look on sticker 3 numbers in a box then 026598
then the numbers set shuts down to indicate its been accepted
g/luck

ps this set uses 3 types of screen.
if you need manual check what screen and i will post you

I got the new SSB board, plugged it all in. and it bingo - it worked. By worked i mean, came on and displayed "inital config & language choice" screen.
I power cycled it several times and it appeared to be good.
I put it to one side for a couple of days as i needed the precious bench space. plugged it in again. and it's back to the same fault???
So either it's popped the new SSB (while the power was off - unlikely) or it wasn't that all along
/sits back stares at ceiling & scratches chin/
for clarity.
Apply power. Led goes RED. all outputs on PSU fire up (24V,12V (11.89 measured) and 3.3V).
If you press the power button on side of set, PSU goes into standby mode and Led goes off.
Press again, PSU fires up, led goes red and again nothing else happens.
I checked c505 & c130, both are near enough within tolerance. ie within 2% of stated capacity and ESR of around 0.3 and 0.7 ohms (i forget which was which).
The primary reservoir cap is 450V 120uF and that measured at 111uF and ESR 0.77 which is a little on the low side but its not bad enough to make the supply whistle (yet).
I pulled c537 & c100 as suggested earlier and they both measured good.
I think the Vp rail cap might be in need of replacement.... I'll finish up this post & go swap it out and see, it's a 470uF/35v measuring at 414uF, esr quite high too 0.1 - but it only supplies for the audio amp (i think)??
I have two service manuals for this set (LC4.31E AA 3122 785 16210 and supplement AB), and irritatingly neither have the circuit diagram of the 32" psu - anyone out their got it i would be very grateful, though i don't think the fault lies with the psu board.........

Thanks, but that's the "supplement AB" which i already have.
It has the 37" & 42" supplies but not the 32" (or 26")
If the 32" supply is in it it must be very well hidden!
Thanks for trying :)
