Hi,when this tv is brought out of standby as normal the red led goes out and the blue led at the bottom of the tv illuminates but there is no picture or sound. I have the service manual and have checked all the voltages from the power supply which are correct.The inverter board is not running as it is not recieving a on signal. I have changed the epprom as it seems to be a souce of problems with most samsungs,but no difference. It`s the first time i have come across this model,any help apprieciated.

hi phil
have come across faults on the le40a556 sets which i suspect are very similar to yours, faults being stuck in standby and switching on and off every 5 seconds. in all cases after hours of trying to narrow down the fault a new main av pcb was required, try flattvparts the may have a used one in stock.
