Hi
The power Transformer(T1) had a open circuit primary winding.
The part number from the manual is ATS7336
I can't seem to find a supplier, does anyone know who supplies Pioneer spares?
it used to be SEME but they seem to have drifted out of our trade
Many thanks in advance

Hi Brian,
Buried thermal fuses can be a prob - just a thought - Chris.
-
Hi Chris,
I did a special enquiry via Seme and the Transformer is no longer available( it was £57 +vat trade, ridiculous price!)
The customer has scrapped it. They probably wont be buying Pioneer again and I dont blame them
You are probably right and there wil be a thermal fuse buried in the windings, but if you start digging then you might find yourself in a hole regarding "Elf and safety" So I will steer clear
Thanks anyway

Hi Brian,
Confess, have done fuse and EHT rectifier drilling since stuff was first buried in the 70's.
Coughing a bit from engineering but not smoking - Chris.

hi brainstorm.
try to repair your transfomer in a place that repair MOTORS... WINDING?.
IT CHEEPER AND SAFE.

Hi Brian,
Confess have been doing non-clipboard repair stuff since before clipboards were invented, well, just to eat, drink and smoke, and do other stuff wot young folks do.
Trouble is, grandchildren eventually accumulate, and they aren't always nice - Chris.
