Title: Toshiba 36ZP38B
Post by: markc on June 25, 2010,08:27:46
Hi,
I have one of these that is stuck in standby. I have replaced the module MDFS03, but the fault remains.
The Xtal on the micro is running but there is nothing on the external data/clocks. Not sure if there should be in standby?
Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to go next please.
Thanks
Mark

hi mark
try removing the text module, this has a painter chip on it and causes all sorts of problems, if no joy check all cp there are quite a few on this set
good luck

Thanks for the replies. I had tried removing the text module, but no joy.
I will recheck the CP's. If the micro power on pin is taken low the set will power up, so I don't think it's the scan coils, but its a thought.

An update for those that are interested:
The fault was caused by the remote sensor, although it was sending data to the CPU, the data must have been corrupt or of the wrong level?
