Hi

I would scart the pic out to another set when it is in fault and that will tell you if its main board or LCD c ontroller (TCON)

Regards

finally had the chance to look at this one again.

tried set hooked up to another tv using a scart cable and when the image corrupts on the tv its still ok on the other. does this mean the controller is at fault then?

Hi - Waxy,
Guess it's a generally accepted thought that if fault occurs gradually, the screen is usually the problem, but it's always as well to heat, twist and bash the drive board and connections after first twisting the screen - even if it takes an hour to get to it. (Thanks due to TV John)

Admittedly, screen probs are more usually found in mid-size screen sets.

All the best - Chris.
