Title: TOSHIBA lcd less contrast/colour/brightness on one side
Post by: buncey on August 29, 2010,11:14:38
I got a 40" TOSHIBA lcd , the screen on the left and right sides of the screen have a contrast/colour/brightness. the left side is a little darker and has less contrast/brightness and color. Is the lcd defective? or backlight.

Hi Buncey,

It's a thought - you don't give a model but master and slave invertors are common on large screen sets, one for each side of the screen.

Model and Piccy would be useful - Chris.

Hi Buncey,

Left or right - no prob, could be invertor or tubes - doubt if it's screen. Have nothing on your exact model, but a piccy would be nice for Quuq folks to vent their experience.

Should you take the back off and check invertors, someone might have them from a screen smash - I have a couple from similar - Chris.
