Title: AV370D Possible power supply fault.
Post by: jameshoward on September 17, 2010,09:25:29
Hi everyone.

I have this av370d tv i thought it had a psu problem so i bought a new psu pcb but after installing it i found that it still had the same fault.  the orange light will stay on and not turn off.

i have put a pic up of the same psu as mine. its not mine but its the same.  its brand new and i have checked for swollen caps and there are none.

i am unable to power the tv up.  i dont have a remote for the unit so maybe i need one to switch it on.

any input would be so sweet :)

ps on the back it says it atec but i cant find this name on any brand list. is it under a diff name?

Thanks in advanced.

Hi Jim,

This one surfaced last year and apart from the thought that it was similar to an unspecified Evesham, there was nothing more than C202 in PS suggested, but as you've changed the PS -

All the best - Chris.

Hi Sparky,

Good thought, never met that one yet, possibly reason original problem not resolved - though might be that original chap couldn't be assed, even on Quuq.

Must check Wiltsgrove for Atec AV370 RCU code - Chris.

so far i have tried the sky remote with as many lg phillips codes i can find but still no luck.

will have to wait till i can get a new remote for it i guess.

also one question there are two buttons on the pcbs in the tv, any idea what these do, as i have already pushed them in hope it mite do something. just hope its not a "wipe all software in the memory" or something like that.

Hi Jim,

Talking 'codes' I meant order codes - eg -  RMxxxx

Wiltsgrove have a pretty good idea of what RCU goes with what telly and for a fiver you might well risk it, but if asked for general info they become rather unhelpful.

Guess who rang - Chris.
