Title: Philips 42PF7320/10
Post by: brainstorm on September 22, 2010,10:33:24

Hi

I have a Philips plasma which has got a very intermittent dead symptom, the customer complained of set goes dead after 1 hour.

Well I ran the set for a couple of days and the set didnt go faulty, then I tried to switch on the set this morning and the set would not come on!! The set had a solid green LED (not flashing) and there was no sound either, after removing the 3 million back cover screws, well
you can guess, the set worked perfectly again!

There are no signs of any bulging caps or any thing obvious. The set is clearly a samsung inside, has anyone had this fault before??

Any help would be appreciated

Brian

If it's an earlier model, a supply recap and check large resistors for tolerance. Sounds more like a cap though.
