Title: daewoo dvd/video combi plays dvds so far then stops

daewoo sd3500p plays tapes ok but dvd plays for so long then stops still says play on screen when it stops the controls on the front or remote dont work except for the dvd/video button have to unplug it and plug it in again to eject dvd then will play dvd for so long again any ideas appreciated

Check or replace all microswitches on front panel. This fault also could be due to defective spindle motor / lens assembly.
