Title: Panasonic DMR-EZ47V
Post by: Turnip on October 26, 2010,09:07:47
Hi folks,

Have one of these where the machine cannot read the DVDs - Wonder if there's a cheap cure with a cap or two - In small hopes - Chris.

Hi Chris,

Ive not been around for a while but you know what I'm going to say !!

Hi Brian and thanks,

You're probably right of course, but you didn't specify this particular model so just had to ask - off to 'Chas and Son' to check likely damage - have a good break - Chris.

PS - Wot's a RAM drive ? ChasH doesn't seem to list it unless it's the DVD mech. If so at £147 + V and P + fixing, think custs might just get a new one - who shall blame them.

Hi Chris
Im back!
Im sure we have had this conversation before? Yes the RAM drive is the DVD mech and it usually comes with a matching digital board on Panasonic Machines

They are usualy scrap if the ram drive fails

Sorry

Brian

Hi Brian,

Trust you had a good break. Can't remember a 'RAM pack' conversation but getting old. But do recall being equally confused when you called the sensibly named 'screen drive' panel a LVDS or something.

Ah, for the simple life - Thanks again - Chris.
