Hi Guys!
My plasmas went a bit crazy, it first started very black and gratually warmed up to start removing the black, almost blotches. I replaced the Power board as I thought it was a power issue, this helped remove the blotches quicker but only slightly quicker.
Im now thinking the pwer borad was a waste of money and didnt need replaced. Ive pluged in my tv aerial and the picture is rubbish, the colour is very faint, and can hardly read any of the menu options. Could this be the main av board? Im pretty certain its not the XSUS or YSUS boards but at a total loss!
Do i risk a new AV board or is the screen shot? could it just been the gasses are done inside it?
Any help please!
Thanks!

hi
sound like a duff z sus pcb, have a read through back theads for pdp42v6 panels + check the 15v supply to the zsus pcb, you could also check the 33mf caps on the ysus pcb.
good luck

Hi,
Had one meself and initially thought a tuner prob due to weak picture. Found Z-Sus fuses O/C, replaced them and sparks came from under that large heatsink - replaced Z-sus from tip scrap - OK - Chris.
PS - Did the 33mfd cap check on Y-sus and found them high ESR - didn't seem to make much difference though - twiddled the pots but still some sparklies.

The first three are basically what happens during first 5 seconds on start up. The third showing what my menu looks like when i select the option. Basically just white box.
