have a samsung lcd tv and think the left side invertor is faulty as i hear a buzzing sound from tubes inside lcd screen upon power up.
switch tv on picture comes on ok for couple of seconds then you hear a buzzing sound then picture goes straight off after 2 seconds after tv is turned on.
i have not changed this type of invertor board before, but looking at the invertor board im not sure how you remove it does this type just pull out or do you have to strip the lcd and take the tubes out first?
i have attached some pics.

Hi,
I guess you should pull out as it is;lift it up slightly and pull up.
-
it just pulls away, apply equal pressure to top and bottom and tease out, turrets on the pcb slide into the black plastic part

If your panel is LTA400WT-L01
Bad soldering on transformer on the inverter boards.
The tip is only talking about the slave, but why
not continue with master.
-
cheers guys for the help thanks. :c017:
kilroy panel is: LTA460HT-LH2. I tryed reflowing both master and slave invertors but still buzzes for 1 second before picture goes off so must be a faulty invertor board.
i have noticed it must be the tubes that are buzzing as if i turn the light off i can see when its buzzing the turrets on the invertor pcb slide are all flickering.

Switch off workshop lights, switch tv on and check for arcing on plug contacts. To remove pcb, remove screws and prise off pcb to the right hand side.

hi tv john.
yes thats what i mean there is arcing on all the plug contacts.
any ideas john.
-
Hi John, It's usually only one connection that arcs and if you cut the wire it will reach over to solder onto the pcb.
John.
-
hi tv john which wire are you referring to? so is there a fix or will i need a new invertor?
thanks
