Hi
I have a Samsung LE37A656A1F Stby light goes out but there is no pic or sound if you press vol or channel buttons the sbt light flashes all voltages are present out of psu i think it could be the inverter does anyone know what the "on" voltage should be to turn on the inverter tested the inverter coils getting about 1.4 k on all of them. Inverter type VIT71037.50 . Thanks.

Hi ERS,
Just a thought, if invertor cuts, sound usually continues - have you checked PS voltages ? Chris.
-
yeah im with chris you would still have audio if the inverter was faulty.more like a psu fault from the sounds of things
-
Update:
It is the inverter that is faulty, i had an Acoustic Solution lcd come in today with a psu fault and it had the same lcd panel with the same inverter as the Samsung!, fitted that in and it worked, also like you i could not understand why there was no sound when i fitted the inverter and went into the menu the customer had turned the internal speakers off! so that's one for you they must be using a surround sound system!, hence no sound. Steve.

i stand corrected although not taking into thought the internal speakers were de activated good point well made

Hi Dave, and well said.
Visited a certain Interweb site where folks with a passion for non-foaming Soap give out daily thoughts on their continuous arm-pit activities.
Couldn't get a handle on it, though 'lol' was a frequent observation.
There again, you are one of those younger folks who have probably never yearned for a pair of 807's
Confess, started with CV6's, moved on to RK34's for that 'Wireless World' Triode purity - the 50's were awful cool and rather quiet, then on to wicked beam tetrodes for real power for them 'Silver Beetles'
Eventually, in the early 70's used 6 x PL509's push-pull, with ever so many BY127's as voltage doublers to give a HT of 600v so that 'World of tomorrow' with Garner Ted Armpit and our 'Horace the unmarried' might be heard as far as Brum.
Bit silly, but at the time - seemed the biz - loved it - Chris.
