Title: Vestel 17PW22-4
Post by: Turnip on December 05, 2010,06:08:31
Hi folks,

Met my first one today in a Logik LOG26LW782 so went though past files to see what folks thought. Seems like lots of problems and few solutions.
Customer says set takes a couple of hours to start up (No led) then it's OK - any thoughts  ?

There's a real terrific piccy on file so won't add another - Chris.

Thanks Sparky - have done, Inadvertently.

Board uses a couple of 68/400 in parellel with no discharge resistor. Part discharged it personally - ouch, then with me 40w pygmy bulb on wires.

Got another in today from recycling, an Acoustic Solutions LCD28605 with smashed screen then noticed some old Quuq talk of LVDS shorts causing failure to power up.

Thanks again - Chris

Hi Sparky,

Well said, Pygmy's is me - ever since that Attenburough stuff currently on Dave. Might just be too many Y's, but they are known to be rather small like the bulb, and Quuq doesn't seem to have 'Speelcheque' - shame.

Hairdryer bit was done in 09, I think, by our very own (Brian the Brain) - he was a little younger then, and hopeful that Vestel might be the new Jeru - but 'nother story

Dawkins fer Pope - Chris.
