Title: Thompson 32WZ413S shuts down fault code 45 Help please

Hello
Thompson TV comes on picture all ok then will shut down with the red led flashing
4 times then 5 times =45
does anyone know what the error codes mean ?
and has anyone come across this problem

Hi,

Not sure if it was this chassis but see if there are a couple of wire ended fuses near the LOPTX, i think they were green, check these.

Manual attached, I think its this one!!

if the fuses was to be faulty do they go o/c or high in value and would they still let the set come on normally then shut down with error code 45

Does anyone have any info on error code dont think there is anything in the manual

Hi

It is usually the Line output Transformer that fails but check for drys as well especially around line Scan area

Hi TMG,

If set initially comes on normally it's not likely to be a LOPT prob, so look out for bulgy non-electrolytic caps in LOP area - check 'em all for value, some folks say A1 (G2) setting (twiddle bottom pot on LOPT) might be a prob. All the best - Chris

i think you can check the motherbord. there is some crack at the soldering componen.
