Title: Sony KDL-40S3000

Got a Sony KDL-40S3000 With Picture Fault. it has sparklies like you get in a plasma but its a lcd.

dont know why the pictures are so small

strange one, the second pic looks like a duff lvds cable, but not the first pic?
sure you know the procedure by now, wiggle the cable, if not buy a tcon pcb and keep you fingers crossed.
perapse another quuqer will have one for you to try?

havent had the back off yet but i think it has several display control boards, which makes it easier, NOT. (Typical Bloody Sony :wink1:)

Will let you know how i get on.

after a long wait for the part to arrive.
it turned out to be the TCON Board. was glad about that as i didnt like the price of a main board.
